The mosque is a simple building with a stone base, mudbrick walls, timber tie beams and a tiled roof, and it belongs to the type of Ankara mosque built at the end of the seventeenth and in the eighteenth century. It was repaired between 1906 and 1907.
The source gives its quarter twice and differently — İstiklal in the description, Anafartalar in the address — but the street is the same in both: Eskicioğlu Sokak.
