The Game and Toy Museum of Gaziantep occupies a historic Antep house in the old Bey quarter. The metropolitan municipality completed its restoration and opened it in 2013, and the Ministry describes it as one of four toy museums in Türkiye. The collection is wide: close to 600 toys are displayed, handmade pieces dating from between 1700 and 1990 alongside first-run figures of cartoon, film and fairy-tale characters.
The toys are arranged in eight galleries and are not only Turkish — Germany, Japan, Argentina, England, France, China and the United States are all represented. The museum was founded under the curatorship of Sunay Akın, and besides the galleries it has a two-storey cave on the theme of the children of the world, toy workshops for children, and a section where various events are held. It occupies a single-courtyard house, and statues of children at play stand along the street outside. The museum is on Hanifi Oğlu Sokak in the Bey quarter of Şahinbey.
