The Gedelma plane is the thickest of the monument trees the directorate records in Antalya province: 4.29 metres across, 28.6 metres tall and given as 684 years old. It is an oriental plane, Platanus orientalis, declared a natural monument on 6 May 2003 on 0.10 hectares, and the directorate calls it simply a mighty tree.
The directorate lists a capacity of 50 visitors and 10 vehicles, and describes a route there by private car. Its activities line says the region the tree stands in is a nature conservation area used only for scientific research.
There are no facilities at the site. Size, age and extreme growth are the stated reasons for protection.
The tree is in Kemer district, at Gedelme and Kuzdere. The route runs from Antalya to Kemer and on by private car through Kuzdere.
