Visiting this cave needs permission in advance: the source says you must obtain it from the Güllük Dağı national park office before going. The entrance is open between 08:30 and 17:30.
The site was declared a natural monument in August 2013 and covers 61 hectares in the Ahırtaş quarter of the Dösemealti district of Antalya. What gives it its value is threefold: monumental stalactites and stalagmites, prehistoric finds, and readable inscriptions on the cave walls that throw light on the history and archaeology of Antalya and the country around it from the prehistoric period to the Byzantine. The ground is juniper forest, and 79 plant taxa have been recorded within the registered bounds.
