Güzeldere Waterfall Nature Park lies within the village of Güzeldere in the Gölyaka district of Düzce, covers 22.76 hectares and was declared a nature park in 2011. The Bıçkı stream, which runs through the district of Gölyaka, falls 120 metres at Güzeldere village to make the waterfall.
The ground on Elmacık Dağı is notable for the density of its vegetation. Above the nature park lies the Pürenli pasture and below it the Efteni Lake wildlife development area.
Beech dominates the moist broadleaved forest, with hornbeam, oak, lime and chestnut making up the rest. Around the waterfall the undergrowth is rhododendron, cherry laurel, bramble and ivy.
Deer, roe deer, wild boar, bear, fox, jackal, squirrel and marten live in the woodland, and there is trout in the Bıçkı stream.
The park has food and drink, accommodation in bungalows, picnic grounds, electricity and drinking water.
Getting there
The park is twenty-eight kilometres from the centre of Düzce and sixteen from Gölyaka, and the road is asphalt.
