Balıklı lies within the village of Gölormanı in the central district of Düzce, on the Elmacık mountains, 36 kilometres from the city.

The plateau stands at 1,400 metres and covers 46 hectares, ringed by pine, hornbeam and beech forest. The spring running through the middle of it is what marks it out.
It suits tent camping, walking and photography.
