Mustafa Kemal came to Hacıbektaş on 22 December 1919, after the Sivas Congress, and spent a night as a guest in this house.

The house was expropriated in 1991, restored, and opened as the Atatürk House Museum in 2001. It opens every day except Monday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and the ministry states that admission is free.
