Two buildings stand in the cemetery at the entrance to Hoşap, beside the Van-Hakkari road, and they are of different dates. According to its building inscription, the medrese was put up in 1563 by Hasan Bey, son of Haz Bey; the tomb was built after 1585 by Sir Bey, son of Hasan Bey.
Hoşap is in the Gürpinar district of Van; minibuses run there from the Van bus station.
