The park takes its name from the Kelebekler valley, which forms its north-eastern and eastern boundary; the İnözü valley closes it on the south. The ground is broken: an average height of about 881 metres, rising to 1,010 at the northern boundary and falling to 760 in the south-west, with Yokuşbaşı Tepesi standing to the north-east.
It was declared on 1 April 2016 and covers 176.68 hectares at Geyikpinari in the Beypazarı district of Ankara. It is open 08:00 to 22:00.
