Körçoban Nature Conservation Area is closed to ordinary visits: the Directorate General of Nature Conservation and National Parks states that only scientific research is permitted there, and only with ministry permission. There are no facilities. The site covers 480 hectares in Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş province and was declared on 31 December 1993.
The forest is what is being protected. Cilician fir, cedar of Lebanon and Taurus black pine grow there in stands that are pure in places and mixed in others, with old and tall individuals among them that qualify as monumental trees. The directorate describes the area as entirely untouched and its forest ecosystem as naturally rare.
The wildlife recorded includes red deer, brown bear, wild boar, wolf, jackal, fox, weasel, squirrel, mole, brown hare, Levant sparrowhawk and common buzzard.
The area is 20 kilometres from Andırın town centre and 73 from Kahramanmaraş city, reached by private vehicle.

- Across Kahramanmaraş as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from 4.9 °C in January to 28.5 °C in August; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in April, May, June, September and October; rainfall is heaviest in December (131 mm) and lightest in August (2 mm). Long-term means for 1930-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
