The bridge is thought to have been built in the fifteenth century, in the time of the beylik of Dulkadir. It has seen various repairs but keeps its original character.
It is 158 metres long and has six openings under pointed arches. Along the top runs a rubble-stone parapet varying between 0.60 and 1.10 metres in height.
On the piers, facing upstream, are three cutwaters, two of them sound.
The bridge is in the Kılavuzlu quarter of Onikişubat and can be reached by minibus, public bus or taxi.
