This mosque in Tokat's Mahmut Paşa neighbourhood has no inscription, so its date rests on its name: because of the Mahmut Paşa it is named after, it is placed in the 17th century. Two men of that name are recorded in Tokat's past. One served as beylerbeyi of Halep and died in 1616; the other, Kemankeş Mahmut Paşa, died in 1681.
