At Niyazlar village in the Yeşilova district of Burdur is a grave and tomb known as Niyazi Baba, and the village itself took the name Niyazlar in his honour.
The story told about him runs that when Niyazi Baba came from Khorasan there was no water at the place where he first halted, and that in order to perform his ablutions he brought water out of the ground with his staff at the spot called Kuzupinari. The tomb is a place where people come to make vows and to hope for healing.
