The ministry describes the museum as standing beside the Cebelibereket Culture Centre in Fakıuşağı Mahallesi, on a site of 6,616 square metres allocated to it.
What the directorate does is not in doubt. Since 2013 it has carried out survey and registration of sites across the province and its districts, documentation and rescue excavations under the cultural property law, which is the work that will eventually fill the display halls.
