The mosque standing here today was built in 1962 with contributions from the people of Pınarhisar; the fifteenth-century building that gave it its name was demolished at some point before that. The present one covers 410 square metres of ground with 127 square metres of prayer space, and it is sound and open for worship.
It was square at first, and took on its rectangular shape when the porch was later closed in. The walls are entirely of cut stone, and the large blocks visible in the enclosure walls strengthen the idea that the building once had a dome. The mihrab, minbar and preacher's chair are faced in tiles worked with plant motifs in turquoise, dark blue and red. It is in the Cami-i Kebir quarter in the centre of Pınarhisar.
