The Şah Süleyman tomb at Niğde is of the iwan type, single-storeyed, and measures about 6.10 by 7.50 metres on the outside. It is set north to south on slightly sloping ground. The walls and the doorway are of finely dressed yellowish trachyte, the roof of brick.

Inside there is a cut-stone sarcophagus in the form of a rectangular prism, with neither inscription nor ornament on it. The building is plainly made throughout, and the inventory records that despite periodic repairs it keeps its original character to a large degree.
