Guide

Sarot's spring lies within the boundaries of Ilıca village, 30 km northwest of Mudurnu, and its water comes out at 66 °C. It has been in use for more than 1500 years, and a historic bath-house survives. The water belongs to the bitter-water group: the provincial directorate says that taken as a drinking cure it helps urinary-tract and kidney complaints, and used in the bath it helps rheumatic diseases. The area also has large, modern facilities.
