The mosque takes its name from Hacı Sinan of Konya, who had it built — Konevi means the man from Konya. A newer inscription at the front gives 1537 as the date of building. Later additions have spoiled its historic fabric, and the dome over the prayer hall has since been closed off by a wooden ceiling.
It is square, seven metres by seven, with a porch 3.4 metres deep at the entrance. The walls are laid in two courses of brick alternating with two of rubble stone, and the front is plastered. The minaret on the east has a brick shaft, one balcony and a pointed cap; it stands on an octagonal base of stone and brick, with five rows of corbelled brick under the balcony, and is entered by a door on the east side of the prayer hall. It is on Tezveren Sokak in the Kuzgunluk quarter, above the Pınarbaşı cemetery.
