The mosque is in the village of Kemaliye in the Keles district of Bursa. The inscription over the entrance shows it was built in 1874–75; the architect is not known.
It consists of the prayer hall on the south and the porch for latecomers on the north. The hall is a rectangle running north to south; the porch is an irregular pentagon running east to west. The mosque has a flat ceiling under a pitched roof, and a semicircular mihrab niche in the south wall.
Inside there is painted decoration and wood carving. The painting appears on panels on the prayer hall walls, around the windows and on the mihrab. The mihrab carries an opened-curtain motif with a column and a cypress on either side. The edges of the window niches are decorated with leaves; at the east and west corners of the windows there are flowers rising from a vase, and on the north wall cypress and branch motifs. The panels on the east and west walls carry vases of flowers, buildings, inscriptions and a depiction of the Kaaba, and similar panels appear on the upper part of the south wall of the porch.
The wooden ceiling is divided into sections by laths from within and decorated with various motifs, and the same motifs appear on the minbar, made in openwork. The wood carving here is a fine example of the work of its period.
