The bath at Göynük was built between 1335 and 1338 by Gazi Süleyman Paşa, as a double bath of cut stone.
The provincial directorate calls its stonework and interior architecture rarely found. It is one of the two works Gazi Süleyman Paşa raised in this district; the other is the mosque that carries his name, whose original building has since been replaced.
