The church of Surp Krikor Lusavoriç, dated 1191, stands on Şehit Miralay Nazim Bey Bulvarı in the centre of Kayseri, and it has been restored and reopened for worship.
The painting inside is what to look for: frescoes with geometric and plant motifs, pictures of scenes from the gospels on the pendentives, and geometric and plant motifs on the inner walls. Kayseri stands in Cappadocia, a region of importance to Christians, and holds a number of churches; this is one of them. It is in the Caferbey quarter.
