Topalçam Nature Park sits at the Sivri Tepe locality just outside Boyabat in Sinop province, two kilometres from the town and 88 from Sinop city. Fifteen hectares were declared a nature park by ministerial approval on 11 July 2011, on the strength of the vegetation and the site's value for recreation.
The cover is red pine with meadow grasses, shrubby plants, juniper and dwarf oak. The directorate does not identify the animals to species, listing only various birds, wild boar, snakes and lizards, squirrel and hare.
This is a park built for families rather than left wild. There is an entrance control unit, a country coffee house and a country restaurant, a walking path and a cycle path, toilets and a prayer room, a greenhouse, an adventure play structure, a grass amphitheatre, a children's playground and picnic units. Picnicking, walking, trekking, outdoor events and children's activities are the listed uses, and the directorate says people from Sinop choose it for recreation, mainly in spring and summer. Capacity is 1,000 visitors and 250 vehicles, with hours of 08:00 to 20:00. There is no concessionaire; the administration runs it directly.
Other distances given are 30 kilometres to Saraydüzü and 36 to Durağan.
