Trapezapolis lies at the Boludüzü locality near Bekirler village in Babadağ district, Denizli, on flat ground running north to south; the provincial directorate says the city was laid out to follow the shape of the land.
What can be seen is what lies on the surface: some building remains are visible there, and it is those surface remains that show Roman and Byzantine characteristics.
