Üçtepeler Nature Park lies at Üçtepeler in the Sorgun district of Yozgat and covers 171.79 hectares.
What makes the park what it is, besides its closeness to the centre of Sorgun, is that it is the one wooded and airy piece of high ground beside a town surrounded on all sides by farmland, in country whose natural cover is steppe.
The park stands at an average of 1,280 metres and commands the town, some two hundred metres above it. In summer especially, local people use it heavily for rest, for eating and for picnics, and from a good many points on its northern side the town of Sorgun and the country around it can be seen laid out below.
The trees here are mainly Scots pine and black pine, with wild pear, dog rose and hawthorn among them. The ground plants include milkvetches, mulleins, eryngo, cornflower, everlasting flower, Jerusalem sage and club-rush, along with a number of grasses.
Among the birds most often seen are the coal tit and great tit, the chaffinch, the jay, the magpie, the siskin, the hoopoe and the long-legged buzzard.
