The Zağnos bridge carries the link between Ortahisar and Zağnos, or Atapark, in Trabzon. Its original date is not known; it has been argued that it was built in the Roman period. Written sources record that it was repaired in the fifteenth century by Zağnos Mehmet Pasha, which is why it is also called the Zağnospasa bridge, and workmanship of both the Byzantine and Ottoman periods can be seen in it.
The bridge is masonry, today with two abutments, a single opening and a round arch, built in cut stone. Two things about it are not original: the parapet, and the width — the bridge was widened on brackets to carry traffic and a reinforced concrete deck was laid over it. It is on İnönü Caddesi in the Gülbaharhatun quarter.
