One thing to know before reading the list: our inventory holds two separate records for Alexandreia Troas, spelled two different ways and standing at the same point, and both appear here. We have not merged them — that is an inventory decision — but you should not expect two ancient cities. Writing this also turned up two wrong place types, since corrected: the Şehitler Abidesi memorial and the Troy museum were both recorded as castles.
Troy is south of the town, and the site and its museum stand about a kilometre apart. Across the strait are the Şehitler Abidesi memorial at Eceabat and, further north on the Gelibolu peninsula, the Çanakkale Epic promotion centre and the Gallipoli historical site.
Assos is on the southern coast, with Alexandreia Troas between it and Troy; those are the ones that take you furthest. The Adatepe olive oil museum has no coordinates in our inventory, so its position in the ordering means nothing. What each place is, and who says so, is on its own page.
