One pair in our inventory is the clearest duplicate on any of our routes: a record called Varto Kayalıdere Antik Kenti and another called Varto Kayalıdere Ören Yeri, differing only in whether they say ancient city or archaeological site. We have not merged them, but it is one place.
The city holds the Arak church, the Alaeddin Bey mosque, the Ulu mosque and the traditional Muş houses, close to one another. North are the Esenlik mosque at Bulanık and Lake Hamurpet at Varto, and the Mercimekkale mound is the other entry.
Writing this corrected the Mercimekkale mound's type, which read as a castle because of the kale in its name. What each place is, and who says so, is on its own page.
