Two mosques stand within a short walk of one another in the city — Cevahir Ali Efendi and Başçavuşzade. They are one stop on foot, not two, and the Üçtepeler nature park is also in reach of the town.
Akdağmadeni, at the eastern end, has the church and the Muşalı castle; the Çekerek martyrs monument is north of it, and the tomb of Gedikhasanlı Şakir Efendi is at Sorgun.
The province also holds the Kadıpınarı nature park at Akdağmadeni and the Ulukavak monument poplar at Çekerek, neither on this route but both with their own pages.
