The tomb at Ahlat is built in the manner of the later Ahlat tomb towers, and the provincial directorate notes that it draws a heavy flow of visitors. It gives no measurements, no date and no description of the plan.
The account it gives of the man is this: Abdurrahman Gazi was one of the Companions of the Prophet, serving under İyaz bin Ganem, commander of El-Cezire, who was charged in the year 641, in the time of Caliph Umar, with taking the region. He fell here during the conquest of Ahlat.
