Aluçdağı Nature Park lies in the Çamlıdere district of Ankara, covers 96.52 hectares and was declared a nature park on 11 July 2011.
The park sits within pure and mixed conifer forest of black pine and Scots pine, typical of the inland Western Black Sea forest belt. Clearings run through that forest where various trees and shrubs have come in, and there are roadsides and meadow and pasture ground as well.
Along the Sulu stream, which enters and leaves the park over a short stretch on its eastern side, are patches of willow and oleaster scrub together with rocky and gravelly ground at the water's edge. Between the forest and the water the park holds two ecosystems side by side, though the dominant habitat throughout is black pine forest.
Among the plants recorded here are Scots and black pine, juniper, yew, oriental plane, wych elm, hackberry, downy oak and hornbeam, with marsh horsetail, maidenhair spleenwort and common polypody among the ferns and lower plants.
The animals observed in the park include the tree frog, common toad, marsh and spotted frogs, slender lizard, and the black and yellow snakes. Among the birds are the grey heron, white and black storks, squacco heron, ruddy shelduck, mallard, long-legged buzzard, short-toed eagle, black kite, sparrowhawk, woodcock, bee-eater, roller, rock dove, little owl, long-eared owl, blackbird, robin, skylark, stonechat and jackdaw.
The day-use areas make picnicking possible, and the park also holds a counter selling local produce, an adventure park, a paintball area, a cycling area, an entrance kiosk, a prayer room, lavatories and open-air event grounds.
