The Anadolu Architecture and Furniture Cultural Heritage Museum and Research Centre opened on 25 December 2008 and is described by its founders as the first architecture and furniture museum in Türkiye. It occupies the Merik Mansion — known locally as the Altın Köşk, the golden pavilion — on Doğramacı Caddesi at Lodumlu.
The unusual thing here is that the building is itself the principal exhibit. It was designed as a compound of Anatolian architectural tradition: a thousand forms and motifs that became emblematic of the interiors and exteriors of Anatolian building, drawn as examples from thirty structures — pavilions, mansions, palaces, mosques and houses — and assembled into one house.
The Ministry's page gives two locations for the museum, naming Doğramacı Caddesi at Lodumlu in its text and Beytepe, Bilkent Bahçe Konutları, 06800 Çankaya in its address field.
