The tomb is on the qibla side of the Eyüp mosque, beside the gate that opens onto the outer courtyard and immediately right of the princes' tomb.
It is an open structure: a dome, now rendered in cement, resting on eight cut-stone piers, with carved marble screens set between them and pairs of pointed arches spanning the gaps. Because the street level was raised, the base of the building sits in a hollow. It was repaired between 1942 and 1944.
One inscription over the door records a repair paid for by the trustee of the endowment; another names the occupant as the admiral of Süleyman the Magnificent. Three sarcophagi stand inside, the middle one the pasha's.
