On the Gümüşhane–Bayburt road, in the cemetery of Tekke village, stands a square kümbet of dressed stone. An octagonal base, formed by cutting off the corners of the square, carries it up to the roof, which is also of cut stone and is octagonal and conical. The man buried under the dome is known as Seyyid-i Mahmut Çaldıran Baba, who died on the way back from the Çaldıran campaign and was laid to rest here.
Two windows on the south side light the interior, the western one round. A further chamber containing a grave adjoins the tomb, and the kümbet's entrance, a rectangular opening with its inscription set in a round-arched niche, opens into it. Inside, the walls are plastered, and the corners are joined by arches and shaped as half-vaults to make the transition to the dome.
