This house stands in the garden of the Bakibey mansion in Burdur and dates from the early republic. It is two storeys, the lower of stone, the upper of timber and masonry, with a projecting bay on the second floor.
A wide hall lies inside the entrance and every room opens onto it — five on the first floor, six on the second, their floors, ceilings and built-in cupboards all of wood. Plain and undecorated, it is a late model of the traditional Turkish house. It is on Divanbaba Caddesi in the Değirmenler quarter.
