Çeşnigir bridge crosses the Kızılırmak between Karakeçili and Köprüköy. The bridge and the inn beside it are put in the Seljuk period; the date is not certain, but it is thought to be a 13th-century work.
It also has a place in what came after: in 1402 the ground where the battle of Ankara would be fought lay in this area.
