Çine's Kuvâ-yı Milliye Museum occupies the building that served from 1919 to 1979 as the town's military recruitment office, and that is the reason it became this particular museum: before the War of Independence the office was the assembly point for people coming from Muğla to Çine to join the fighting in Aydın, and the plans for clearing the southern front of the Greek occupation were made in it. The building itself was put up between 1906 and 1909, in the reign of Abdülhamid II.
Çine municipality began restoring the building on 27 June 2006 and finished on 6 June 2008. Inside stand figures of Yörük Ali Efe and Colonel Şefik Aker.
Alongside the material on the national forces in the War of Independence, the museum also shows ethnographic and archaeological objects.
