The Çoruh valley wildlife development area covers 22,500 hectares within the Yusufeli district of Artvin and is one of the 112 important plant areas identified in Türkiye.
The area is used for research, for education and for hunting tourism. The source frames the importance of the valley's plant cover by pointing to Türkiye's standing as the country with the richest flora in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
