The tomb stands on the hill known as Mülayim Tepe in the centre of Tavşanlı, which is used today as a picnic ground, and it is ringed by a pool.
Dedebali, known also as Hace'ül-Haram and as Mülayim Dede, was a folk sage who took on important duties in the bringing together of the Anatolian Turkish union, well liked and known for his charity. He died in 1394 and was buried on this hill, and the tomb was built over his grave. Tavşanlı is reached by road and by rail.
