Guide

The Göbel thermal tourism centre is in the small town of Göbel, in the Tavşanlı district west of Kütahya; the Council of Ministers declared it a thermal tourism centre in December 2006. The water comes out hot and rich in minerals and is used in private baths, indoor pools and family baths. The Kütahya culture and tourism directorate says it serves as a supporting treatment for muscle and joint complaints, rheumatic diseases and herniated discs in the back and neck.

Accommodation is in hotel-style rooms and apartments, and there are walking paths, rest areas, a restaurant and a café; the centre is open all year and is also chosen for long stays. The directorate advises visitors coming for treatment to bring their health documents and to book ahead at busy times.

Getting there

Göbel is about 80 kilometres from Kütahya. It is reached by private car, and there is parking on site.
