The Doğançay waterfall is one of the most important in Sakarya and a favourite with people who love the outdoors. It lies at about 450 metres above sea level.
The road to it is asphalt the whole way, but winding and wide enough for only two cars, so large vehicles may have trouble. In hard winters the last kilometres are covered with snow; at other times the drive is easy.
There is a local café at the head of the path, though it is not always open. From beside the café a dirt path leads down through a hazel grove to the falls.
The waterfall lies in the stream bed, three hundred metres below the starting point, and the walk down and back up takes about forty minutes. The spot is usually cool.
