Tuzla Canyon is a kilometre long, and that figure is misleading on its own: the provincial directorate says crossing it takes five to six hours, and that walking it without a professional guide and technical equipment is not possible.
It begins in the stream bed above Tuzla village in Taraklı, at 968 metres. Water runs in it in every season, and there are many waterfalls along the way — though whether they flow depends on the season, and in very dry periods they do not.
The last kilometre of the approach is unsurfaced road.
