The zoology museum at Eskişehir Osmangazi University exists to show the biological diversity of Eskişehir and its surroundings, and the collections were brought together for that purpose.
Around 1,200 specimens are on display at any one time — the selection changes — covering insects, crustaceans, fish, reptiles and birds, along with the skeletons of a number of fish and mammals. Visitors of every age come, and staff explain the animals on show.
