Sazova park, formally the Science, Culture and Art Park, is in the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir and at around 400,000 square metres is the largest park in the city. It is a municipal leisure ground rather than a heritage site, and it is built for a full day: a large lake where water sports are possible, restaurants, an open-air concert ground for 1,200 people, an amphitheatre, and a full-size museum ship.
The attractions for children are the reason most families come. There are play areas themed on fairy-tale characters, a water play area, a playground designed for disabled children, and Masal Dunyasi, the fairy-tale world, which was, according to the Culture Portal, the first of its kind in Türkiye. Beside it is a science experiment centre with what is described as the country's largest space house. A Japanese garden was built as part of the Japan Year events in 2010, by the metropolitan municipality together with the Japanese embassy. Small tourist trains circulate within the grounds, and there is a large aquarium; at the time of the provincial guide used here, work on a zoo was still under way. Municipal buses serve the park, as do the minibuses leaving from behind the Atatürk stadium.
