Gökpınar Gölü lies in the Gürün district of Sivas and was declared a nature park in July 2025, the 274th in Turkey. What brings people is the water: spring water rising from underground, so clear that with the sun on it the lake shows blues and greens at the same time, in several shades at once.
The lake formed over a long period through the interaction of aluminium deposits with the natural rock, and the directorate general for nature conservation counts its ecosystem and the biodiversity around it among the more valuable natural assets in the country. Walking and running routes, rest areas and various outdoor activities are available on the shore.
