Gündüzbey is a township of Yeşilyurt, ten kilometres from Malatya, and people come out from the city in summer for the cool air and the greenery.
What it is known for beyond the picnic grounds are the country restaurants set among the trees; the provincial guide says their reputation has spread beyond Malatya. It is reached by city transport.
