The waterfall is in the Güney district of Denizli, fed by springs rising on the slopes of Cindere mountain and falling into the Büyük Menderes.
Its water is hard with lime, and that is what shaped it: stalactites and stalagmites have formed here, and the bed below the fall has built up into limestone steps. A landslide damaged the site in 2013 and it was laid out again afterwards.
