There are no facilities of any kind at Esen pond: what is here is the water, the red pine forest around it and the road in. The pond and its surroundings were given the status of a forest rest area in 1995, over 231.5 hectares in all.
It lies at 850 metres, with a water surface of 75 hectares; mirror carp have been raised in it and it is fished with rod and line. The potential for water sports is described as high. Getting there: follow the Denizli-Muğla road to the Kale district, take the road east from Kale for 33 kilometres to Beyagaç, continue eight kilometres east of the district centre, then five kilometres more on a dirt road turning south. Minibuses run as far as Beyagaç, from Denizli and from Kale.
