Süleymanlı Lake lies within the Buldan district, by the plateau of the same name. Its water is fresh.
It is a stopping place rather than a destination for birds: migrating flocks break their journey here. Wild duck and stork are among the species seen on the water, and carp and catfish in it. Around the shore there are wild rabbit, wild boar, hedgehog, badger, mallard, white pelican and coot.
The lake counts as an ecosystem in its own right because of what grows in it — water lilies among other aquatic plants, and species endemic to the area.
The shore is suitable for camping.
