The Hacettepe Art Museum stands in the Çankaya district of Ankara and belongs to Hacettepe University. Founded on 4 October 2005, it holds works by artists of standing in Türkiye and abroad, Burhan Doğançay above all, along with work by Hikmet Onat and Şeref Akdik, Feyhaman Duran, Avni Arbaş, Nuri Abaç and Nevzat Akoral, Hayati Misman and Fikret Otyam.
The museum was taken in for repair in 2015 and stayed closed for two years, reopening on 17 October 2017, the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of Hacettepe University.
Its inventory holds painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics and video. When it opened in 2005 it held only eighty works; through gifts and purchases the number has since passed five hundred.
