The Kıran Evliya juniper is a high-altitude tree: the directorate records it at 2,030 metres. It is squat rather than tall, 4.53 metres high but 1.46 metres through the trunk, with a girth of 4.60 metres — the proportions of a juniper that has spent a very long time growing in thin mountain air. It was declared a natural monument on 26 June 1995.
Unusually for the register, the directorate gives no age for this tree; the other measurements are all it publishes, along with the province, Gümüşhane. There are no recorded opening hours, visitor capacity or access notes, so the provincial branch of the directorate is the place to start.
